Sugar Patisserie

I ate the most delicious cupcakes over Easter that were made at this bakery. Pictures could not be taken as we all jumped into dessert and didn't stop. The agreed upon #1 cupcake was the chocolate with coconut frosting but the peanut butter was very close behind! Vegan orders are special orders and so contact Sugar Patisserie in advance if you're interested. http://www.sugarpatisserie.com/

Karmavore sells chocolate cheesecake... oh no...

Last week I bought a blueberry cheesecake... this week I'm sampling the chocolate. It's not a huge store but goodluck walking out of there without a few indulgences! ;)

Bagels/Silver Hills

Silver Hills bagels/breads are completely vegan!

Most mornings now include these and a little Tofutti cream cheese... mmm...

Chocolate!!!

I've been spotting these Denman Island Chocolate bars lately... I like 'em!

Holy MolĂ© is incredible! Dark chocolate with chipotle and a hint of orange... mmm...

Amy's products available at MarketPlace IGA and elsewhere

I have to express my love of Amy's products. Who'd have thought that I'd flip over a mushroom and artichoke pizza!? I don't even liiiike mushrooms or artichokes! I have yet to find a soup that I don't like and the chili is fantastic. Refried beans... baked beans... burritos... the list goes on.

Easter

I hope that Easter found you deep in vegan chocolate. I myself scored some delicious treats from Purdy's.

Their website is fantastic and breaks down the ingredients for all of their vegan chocolates. They have plenty of temptations available all year.

Karmavore also offered nifty vegan Easter stuff this year such as Sweet and Sara's marshmallow chick and bunny and Sjaak's Easter basket! Love it!

HomeSense in Richmond

I recently noticed several vegan products available at my local HomeSense store. The peanut butter shortbread exceeded my expectations and the yellow cake mix (I added frozen blueberries which turned the cupcakes a lovely shade of purple) was quite yum. I also picked up vegan sugar which I have yet to test. Up to now I've been using coconut crystals. There were several other vegan products available that I managed to resist ;)

Lonsdale Quay Market

Last weekend was the perfect weather for hopping on the Seabus to enjoy a little lunch on the dock. We located a Cobs baguette and also garlic hummus from the shop next to it (whose name escapes me). The shop that sold the hummus also sold a wide variety of soups but sadly it only offered certain ones heated up as their soups of the day. Most vegetarian varieties contained honey which is something that I opt out of but that garlic hummus definitely earned itself more than a few stars.
